Yesterday, as Addy was emerging from her non-nap, she came into our bedroom where I was finishing folding/putting away laundry. Upon seeing the piles of her clothing to be put way, she not-so-sleepily asked,
"Mommy, did you wash all of Addy's tiny clothes?"
To which I replied, "Yes, baby."
"And all of Addy's tiny b's (blankets)?"
"Yes, my love."
"Aww...thank you, Mommy."
My eyes filled with tears as this sweet little person hugged my legs in gratitude. I LOVE my job. Being a Mommy is the best.

A "Dragon Footprint"

These pictures were actually taken two weeks ago on Tuesday, January 17 as I was helping Addy practice riding her bike. The pedaling motion is really tricky to master, so, when she's ready for a break, we play tag, usually with me being "it".
As we were running around, Addy came upon -gasp- a "dragon footprint". See if you can spot it! She is very into the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" right now and even has her own imaginary pet dragon named "Boris". Maybe he left it behind.
I just love how vibrant her little imagination is.

Story Time

One of our favorite weekly outings is attending story time at the wonderful Smith Library, which is about two blocks from our home. Ms. Bernadette, the story time librarian, is so great with the kids. Each week, she has a theme around which the stories/songs/activities are centered, as well as a craft. Yesterday the theme was trains - Addy was SO excited! (She's quite the train enthusiast as we've recently been on an outing to ride Trax.)
She was even MORE excited to see her friend Jay from church! They had such a great time together, especially when it came time for watercolor painting. Since there weren't enough chairs for all of the children, Jay was kind enough to share his chair with Addy. Once a chair did become available, however, Addy preferred to continuing sharing Jay's chair. ;o]
They were so darling and fun to watch, especially when they walked out of the craft room holding hands.

The Armor of God
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." ~Ephesians 6:11
These are my super sweet All-A-Dollar finds - the minute I saw them, I thought "Family night, here we come!" Addy easily obliged - isn't she the cutest lil' knight you've ever seen?! No Mommy bias, of course...

Addy's First Haircut
On Saturday, Addy had her first haircut! We went to Cookie Cutters and had such a great experience. She got to sit in a car chair, watch Sesame Street, get a balloon and sucker, play on the slide, and more - she loved it and wasn't upset in the slightest! We are SO very proud of her! (And for Mommy for not crying until later!)
Fruit Pizza
Wow! I'm SO behind in blogging - that's what I get for graduating from the U and going to girls camp all within a matter of weeks! These are some cute shots from when I made fruit pizza as refreshments for a YW activity. I made a smaller one for Addy to decorate. Much of the fruit went directly into her mouth instead of on the pizza, but hey, that's where it would end up anyway, right? ;o]

The Adventures of Addy
Quite often, we have days where Addy decides that the traditional ways of wearing clothes are outdated and unnecessary. She often insists on dressing herself. After all, bright yellow shorts look so much better on one's head, don't you agree?
Addy has graduated from her high chair. Yay! (I was so tired of cleaning it all the time.) She now sits in a big girl chair at the table.
Again, with the clothes...this is actually a dolly dress. We sure love how smart and creative our little one is becoming - she definitely has a mind of her own!
Graduation Celebration
In lieu of participating in commencement exercises, we had a dinner party at Noodles and Co. It was SO much fun! We are tremendously grateful for the support and generosity shown by loved ones.
I love this last picture - I don't know what Addy was thinking about, but obviously she was up to no good! ;o]

Almost Alumni

We may not live forever on this jolly good old sphere,
But while we do we'll live a life of merriment and cheer,
And when our college days are o'er and night is drawing nigh,
With parting breath we'll sing that song:
"A Utah Man Am I".
Adelyn Lenore Beckstrom is proud to announce the graduation of her parents!

Easter
I just realized that I never posted Easter pictures, so here they are. Better late than never, right? ;o]
We went to Nana Lenore's and Poppa Ron's house for Easter this year. We enjoyed having conference weekend fall on Easter - so nice and relaxing to be at home with family! We also helped with the big Beckstrom family Easter party!
Addy LOVED Easter! She loved the bunny trail in the morning, she loved her Easter basket, she loved finding and opening Easter eggs - overall, it was a really fun day! We hope your Easter was just as "hoppy" as ours was!
